Resort-style pools

Family Focus

The Country Club’s burgeoning Junior Golf Program is just one illustration of Anthem’s commitment to family-friendly activities. Our junior tennis program also continues to grow, and while some kids use the Country Club pool, most youngsters prefer Anthem’s amazing Big Splash Water Park, lively Community Center, and sprawling 63-acre Community Park.
THE ANTHEM COMMUNITY
From the gated enclave of Anthem Country Club, residents enjoy a growing number of amenities that are part of the larger community of Anthem. A diverse array of retail outlets, medical offices and business parks has sprung up in recent years, furthering Anthem’s self-contained feel. Indeed, residents say proximity to so many conveniences is one of the main reasons they love living here.
Golf

FUNTASTIC GOLF
Greg Nash Design has crafted two equally stunning yet distinct courses at Anthem: The Persimmon which debuted to outstanding reviews in 1999, and The Ironwood, which opened in 2004. The layouts share some key attributes: large, undulating greens; dramatic elevation changes; Valley and mountain views; deep canyon washes; rolling fairways, and multiple tees. Both stretch more than 7,200 yards from the back tees, and they put a premium on accuracy and course strategy.
THE PERSIMMON
Aside from being a sheer joy to play for golfers of all abilities, The Persimmon’s sweeping views, dramatic bunkering, immaculate conditioning and creative hole designs have garnered legions of fans, among them members of the golf press, who have bestowed many accolades on the course, including:
• In Desert Golf magazine, Valley PGA pros ranked The Persimmon the 10th best private course in the Valley.
• Golf Digest rated it the 14th best course in Arizona.
• Ranking Arizona magazine rated The Persimmon #3, #4 and #2 in its “best private courses” listing in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
• Links magazine rated Anthem Country Club among the top 132 golf course communities worldwide.
THE IRONWOOD
The Ironwood joined its popular predecessor, The Persimmon, in early 2004 and likewise made quite a splash. And while the courses share many characteristics, their personalities are unique. Views from The Ironwood, for example, are oriented toward Daisy Mountain while The Persimmon overlooks the Valley. Water comes into play on seven of The Ironwood’s holes, compared to two on The Persimmon, where the desert collects more errant shots than water or bunkers.
Exclusive Membership
With playing privileges at two esteemed golf courses, as a Golf Member at Anthem Golf & Country Club, you have it made. And while the quality of the golf experience is among the best in Arizona, membership dues are an average of one-third or one-half of those at other North Valley gated country clubs, most of which offer only one course and far fewer luxury amenities.
Troon Golf ®
Anthem is proud to be associated with Troon Golf management, which is responsible for hiring staff and for all operations of both golf courses and their amenities. Troon’s affiliation with many of the world’s elite golf properties has earned the company a distinguished reputation.
Greg Nash Design
Unlike some architects who fly in early to map out the terrain and fly back only to apply a few finishing touches, Greg Nash is strictly hands-on, shaping and re-shaping every hole to his precise specifications. At Anthem Golf & Country Club, his fastidiousness shows up in the end result: 36 holes that are memorable and distinct, an important consideration on layouts that you’ll play time and again as your “home courses.”
Clubs

Social Membership
After you purchase a home in the Anthem Country Club community, two adults and all dependent children under age 23 in the household are automatically Social Members, requiring modest monthly dues. Social Members are entitled to reduced greens fees at both of Anthem’s 18-hole golf courses, The Persimmon and The Ironwood, plus the opportunity to secure preferential tee times ahead of the public. Your family will also enjoy full access to the clubhouses and their related amenities at both courses.
A Place to Belong
The Country Club’s Junior Golf Program is just one illustration of Anthem’s commitment to family-friendly activities. Several Social, Educational and Travel Clubs have also formed at Anthem.

THE ANTHEM DIFFERENCE
The Anthem Country Club differs from other country club beginning with its mountainside setting far enough from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet convenient to so many things you need and want.
Second, full golf membership entitles you to playing privileges at two stunning 18-hole golf courses, each with its own exquisite clubhouse and resort-style amenities, club tournaments and social functions. What’s more, there’s a focus on family activities here that you won’t find at many country clubs. But the Anthem difference we hope
you’ll feel most keenly is the strong sense of community.
